Microsoft have recently released their Mid-Tier AzureAD offering, in addition to AzureAD Free and AzureAD Premium.
This new offering is geared towards Enterprises who want to equip their 'deskless' employees with an Active Directory integrated Sign On experience without the Multifactor Authentication and similar features not required for these types of users.
Alex Simons (AzureAD PM for Mircosoft) recently posted:
"AAD Basic provides essential features like company branding, group-based application access and self-service password reset. Azure AD Premium part of the Enterprise Mobility Suite;(EMS) continues to provide this functionality and more advanced features like self-service group management, multifactor authentication and advanced security reporting."
